The General Administration for Grants Students received a delegation from the General Administration of Scholarship Students at Najran University on Tuesday, 21-06-1440H. The delegation was received by the General supervisor of the Administration, Dr. Saeed bin Mohammed Al Shahrani, and the Executive Director of the Grant Fund for supporting Grants Programs. Dr. Ebrahim Al-Sultan and the heads of the other departments. At the beginning of the visit, the delegation was welcomed and briefed on what the administration is doing to the scholarship students in terms of admissions and registration procedures and all the administrative procedures related to the students. The visiting delegation was also briefed on all the works issued by the administration since its inception. So far, this visit came in order to benefit from the management's experience in attracting scholarship students and the mechanisms applied to it. At the end of the visit, the delegation was given a commemorative shield. إ
The scholarship club announced the launch of the application of the grant club on the platform of applications for the Google Play market under the patronage of the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Scholarship Students and the club leader Dr. Saeed Al Shahrani on Monday 13/06/1440 at the Office of Management. The university's academic agency, represented by the Scholarship Student Administration, organized a trip for 46 scholarship students to perform Umrah and visit Al-Masjid An-Nabawī in Al-Madīnah Al-Munawwarah. Accompanying the students on the trip was His Excellency Sheikh Saleh Al-Osaimi, member of the Council of Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia. The students visited the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex to have a look at this great Islamic edifice, which is considered one of the great projects launched by Saudi Arabia to serve Islam and Muslims. After, students went on a tour of the Holy City observing the Kingdom's efforts in serving the guests of the Two Holy Mosques. Scholarship Students Administration Supervisor, Dr. Saeed Al-Shahrani, confirmed that this trip is part of a series of activities and programs the administration provides for scholarship students with the support and encouragement of His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, and Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Dr. Saad Muhammad Du'ajim. At King Khalid University, our scholarship program will focus on building strong ties with our scholarship students before they return home. In turn, the former students can continue to serve as ambassadors for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by nurturing continued collaborative programs. This will continue to enhance the Kingdom's reputation on the world stage.
The General Administration for Grants Students held a welcoming meeting for students from Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Nigeria and Ghana on Sunday, 19-02-1440 at the Laasan Guest House. The meeting started with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran read by the student/ Makamadar Ghafoor from the Philippines. A welcoming speech was delivered by Dr. Saeed bin Mohammed Al Shahrani, General Supervisor of the Administration, welcoming the students and introducing them to the administration and the services provided to the scholarship students. After that Unit of awareness and cultural activities has started speeking about student rights and duties and ethics that the student must have. At the end of the meeting, a number of students were decorated as souvenirs, and then souvenir pictures were taken for all.
Dr. Saeed bin Mohammed Al Shahrani, the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Grants Students, attended the meeting of the Ambassador of Republic of Yemen in the presence of  the Vice-Dean for Academic and education Affairs Dr. Saad bin Mohammed Dajjam. A detailed explanation of the numbers and specializations of Yemeni students at the university has introduced by the general supervisor, in addition to discussing ways to develop and facilitate the procedures of cooperation and communication between the administration of scholarships and Yemeni students and their embassies. The meeting was also attended by the Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen Mr. Abdullah Al-Awlaki, who expressed his thanks to the University and what it offers to the Yemeni students. Ambassador Al-Zindani also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the University for the warm welcome, and appreciated the scholarship students and Yemeni students in particular from the care and attention.
The General Administration of Grants Students organized a training course entitled "Introduction to Creative Thinking" on Wednesday, 17/10/2018, at the 5th hall room in the central building. The course was presented by Dr. Dhafer bin Said Al Hammad where was started by talking about thinking importance and thinking types, The course was attended by many students from different nationalities. The course ended with a commemorative picture of the trainer with the trainees.

Under the banner of # Diwaniyat_Al-menah, the scholarship club established its first dewaniah, which aims to establish a friendly meeting between the scholarship students and a number of faculty members on Thursday, 11/10/2018, 02/02/1440 AH, after the Maghrib prayer in Diwaniya of the activities of students at the agency of student aafairs at the university city of Qaryqar. Teachers where were the stars of Diwaniyah : Dr. Ibrahim Abutaleb, Associate Professor, Faculty of Humanities, Department of Arabic Language, and Dr. Ehab Shekadi, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering and Head of the Research and Development Center at the College. The club oversees the presence of HE Dr. Saeed Al Shahrani, General Supervisor of the General Administration for Grants Students. The session started with a word for his happiness, followed by a pleasant dialogue with Diwaniya, The students were interviewed by the students, who reviewed their past, scientific life, and some of the fun stories they had with them during the course of their studies. Then, they gave students advice, then opened the disscussion for the 25 students to ask their questions and to the guests. Finally, the diwanyah has finished by dinner meal to audience.

Under the patronage of the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Grant Students, the Scholarships Club held the first social meeting of the club members on Thursday, 17/01/1440 AH at the Al Kawtheria rest stop on the airport line. The meeting started with a meeting between members of different nationalities. Members, and then a sports paragraph and concluded the meeting with a dinner.

Under the logo #share_us_your_excperiece the grants club with partnership with the calligraphy and the art club had finished the workshop in Arabic calligraphy entitled #improve_your_writting on tuesday 08/01/1440 in building A gate 11 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, where the workshop started on Monday at the same time in the same, also many students has attened the workshop to learn the writting skills by Dr. Saif Aldain Mohammed.

King Khalid University Rector Dr. Faleh Al-Solamy sponsored the first ceremony for scholarship students. The event was organized by the General Administration of Grant Students at the University Sports Hall. In his speech, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy stressed the outlook of the university, its vision, and strategic plan to increase the number of scholarship students in a diverse variety of fields. His Excellency announced the launch of an Arabic language teaching unit to teach Arabic for speakers of other languages (ASOL). He further reiterated the importance of granting scholarships to students from all around the world and the role we desire from them during their stay and after their graduation. Al-Solamy stressed the university’s significant interest in scholarship students, which is represented in the establishment of the General Administration for Grant Students in 1439. Its main aim is to provide the appropriate educational environment for them and establishing a charity fund. Following after, the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Dr. Saad Bin Mohammed Al-Dajjam, added that the role of leadership in promoting unity and peace among nations is linked to the progress of educational institutions and universities, which contributes towards building high-quality societies capable of creativity and growth. Given the vital role of educational development and the importance of international recognition, the university has undertaken an approach to increase the number of scholarship students while harnessing all relevant resources to serve them and overcome the obstacles they face so they can be productive in their societies when graduating. The university also considers this a step towards achieving some of the central themes of Vision 2030 by reinforcing the global and educational role of Saudi Arabia in accordance with a moderate Islamic vision. The ceremony included a documentary film made by scholarship students about the university’s plan to attract 2500 scholarship students by the year 1442 AH. The documentary also indicated that the current number of scholarship students at the university is over 2K hailing from twenty different countries. 42 countries from Asia, Africa, and South America are expected to be included in the scholarship program next year.
